Tech District returns to Whitehaven for next Connect Cumbria meet-up

Connect Cumbria is back on Tuesday 29 April with an in-person Tech District event at The Bus Station, Whitehaven.

The event will bring together people from across the county who are passionate about technology, innovation and business growth.

The free event, which runs from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, invites tech professionals, startups, students, creatives, entrepreneurs and anyone curious about the sector to come together, enjoy some food and drink, and be part of a vibrant local tech community.

Delivered in partnership with Enterprising Cumbria and the Cumbria Accelerator programme, Tech District aims to provide a welcoming space to meet like-minded people, share ideas, and support each other in building a thriving tech ecosystem for the future.

What to expect:

• 5.30 – 6.15pm: Arrivals, networking, and free food and drink
• 6.15 – 6.30pm: Welcome and introduction to the evening
• 6.30 – 8.30pm: A mix of interactive sessions, conversation and connection

The event is designed to be informal, inclusive and engaging. It is perfect whether you're just starting out, running a growing tech business or simply want to find out what’s happening across Cumbria’s digital and innovation landscape.

Attendees can expect fun, hands-on activities, opportunities to explore local projects, and space to connect with others – all with a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
