Support for businesses
Our business support programmes are designed to help Cumbrian businesses get ahead and stay ahead.
Enterprising Cumbria partners with a range of local and regional support groups to offer advice and support to businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs across our county.
If you are looking for advice and support our team will be eager to assist you, and our support is fully-funded so there is no financial cost to the business or individual.

Cumbria Accelerator Westmorland & Furness
Thanks to additional funding secured through Westmorland & Furness Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund we have extra resource support to help more businesses in this part of Cumbria, which means we can help more businesses to boost their bottom lines.
In addition to the 1-1 support on our main programme, businesses in Westmorland & Furness can also access expert innovation support.
We also have support for budding entrepreneurs with the added option of a start-up grant for new entrepreneurs who are trying to get a business off the ground.

Foreign-owned businesses support
Enterprising Cumbria also works to support our business community where they fall under foreign ownership. We work with around 40 businesses across the county, helping them to overcome challenges and plugging them into local support. Ensuring businesses with foreign ownership are happy with their business performance in Cumbria helps to cement their presence in Cumbria and ensure that they continue to provide jobs for local people and play key roles in their respective communities.
