Support for charities, voluntary organisations, and small businesses in West Cumbria to take part in Dream Placement

18 September 2025

After the success of 2025, Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), through its Low Level Waste Repository (LLWR) socioeconomic funding, is continuing support for charities, voluntary organisations, and small businesses in West Cumbria to take part in the Centre for Leadership Performance (CforLP), Dream Placement programme.

Last year, this funding enabled five new organisations (including Soundwave Music Charity, Citizens Advice, Xtreme Fitness, Co-Lab Engineering, and Rosehill Theatre/Florence Arts Centre) to join the programme, creating 12 additional placements for students.

Alongside the sponsored places, NWS funding also enables CforLP to provide targeted support for learners who may face additional barriers to taking up opportunities, helping them build confidence and gain essential workplace skills.
