For 17 years, Jackie, owner of Abbey Mill Coffee Shop, has been welcoming visitors to her charming café beside the 14th-century ruins of Furness Abbey. Nestled among open fields and woodlands, the café offers a tranquil spot for coffee, homemade cakes and local ice creams.

With its warm hospitality and picturesque location, Abbey Mill has become a much-loved part of the community.

But despite her long-standing success, Jackie recognised that even the most established businesses need to evolve to stay resilient.
